Twins rack up 18 hits in 12-1 win over Red Sox

Brent Rooker and Jimmy Kerrigan homered, while eight Minnesota Twins pitchers combined to allow just five hits in a 12-1 win over the Boston Red Sox on Monday in Fort Myers, Florida.

The Twins jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the second inning thanks to Adam Rosales, who hit an RBI single and Luke Raley, who scored two with a triple.

Raley also hit a double, leading the Twins with four RBI.

Rooker and Kerrigan each homered in the eighth.

Kohl Stewart got the start for the Twins, allowing two hits and an earned run in two innings of work.

Trevor May, Tyler Duffey, Jake Reed, Zack Littell, Andrew Vasquez, Lewis Thorpe and Eric Karch also pitched for the Twins, allowing just three hits the rest of the way.
