Baltimore Orioles representative Manny Machado's lead in the All-Star Game fan vote was short-lived.

Enter, Miguel Sano.

Sano leads voting for American League third basemen after vaulting from third in the tabulations to first over the course of the last week, and is now nearly 100,000 votes ahead of Jose Ramirez of the Cleveland Indians, who also moved past Machado and into second place.

Jose Ramirez Indians 541,040 .291 .353 .477 .830 7
Manny Machado Orioles 520,116 .219 .296 .442 .738 12
Josh Donaldson Blue Jays 332,287 .277 .365 .631 .996 6
Alex Bregman Astros 305,348 .254 .318 .409 .727 6

The 22-year-old Sano has a .303/.410/.607 slash line with a 1.016 OPS and 14 home runs this season, and started a rare 5-4-3 triple play last week in a 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Angels.

Sano would be the first Twins player to start in the All-Star Game since Joe Mauer in 2013, and the first Minnesota third baseman to start since Harmon Killebrew in 1970.

Interested fans can vote up to five times per day until the voting closes on June 29.

The game is set for Tuesday, July 11, at Marlins Park in Miami.
