The Minnesota Lynx signed free-agent guard Tanisha Wright on Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Tanisha has proven herself to be a formidable opponent throughout her career," Lynx coach and GM Cheryl Reeve said in a statement. "She’s tough, experienced and as competitive as anyone I’ve coached against."

The 12-year veteran won a championship with Seattle in 2010, and last played in the WNBA for the New York Liberty, appearing in 29 games in 2016 while averaging 6.7 points and 3.6 assists per game.

Wright is a five-time member of the WNBA's All-Defensive First Team, and is one of just 16 players in the league's history to register at least 3,000 points, 1,000 rebounds and 1,000 assists.
