Lakers’ offseason moves have no equal

Let the countdown to NBA training camp begin.

With the excitement of the offseason long past and the biggest headlines now revolving around bench role players lobbying for something more than a veteran’s minimum contract, the season can’t come soon enough. The Dwight Howard deal is three weeks in the past, and its becoming a bit easier to imagine him and Steve Nash in the purple and gold. We’re getting accustomed to these reshuffled rosters, and at this point, something of a basketball dead zone has begun.

With so little left to accomplish before teams begin to practice, it’s time to look back on the months since free agency began and to assess the league’s best offseasons.
