Rosario had one of his best games of the season Monday, smacking two doubles and a home run in a 6-4 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. He's in the midst of a four-game hit streak, including three multi-hit performances, and has raised his average from .287 to .296, the second time this season he's flirted with the .300 mark.

"Man, this means I'm a Vike for life," Griffen said after signing his new extension. He's seemingly set for life too. Griffen signed a four-year, $58 million deal that includes $34 million in guaranteed money.

Poor Kyle. Just a few days after one of his best outings of the season, Gibson is headed to Triple-A thanks to the addition of fellow starter Jaime Garcia. He shined in his most recent start, pitching 7 1/3 innings and allowing three earned runs on five hits in a win over the Detroit Tigers. Apart from some unforeseen catastrophe, Gibson doesn't really have a clear path back to the majors with Bartolo Colon turning in serviceable performances and Hector Santiago rehabbing in Triple-A.

Kyrie Irving reportedly wants to play for the Wolves. Kyrie Irving, a man who currently runs with the best basketball player in the world. To understand what Irving's interest means to the Wolves as an organization, let's throw it back to October of last year, when we named J.J. Barea one of the best free-agent signings in team history. Whatever happens with Irving -- and the specifics of this hypothetical mega-trade are pretty fuzzy -- Minneapolis has suddenly become a big-time destination for some of the league's top players.

First, the good news: The stadium is finally happening. Allianz Life Insurance Company purchased the naming rights to the new building, which will seat 19,400 fans when it opens in 2019. The news comes on the heels of another loss for the Loons, who fell 3-0 to New York Red Bulls on Saturday and haven't won a game since June.
