Vancouver Canucks forward Brandon Prust told reporters that his $5,000 fine for spearing Bruins forward Brad Marchand was worth every penny, but Vancouver fans are still looking for a way to give back to Prust following the play against a hated rival.

In that vein, a Canucks fan created a GoFundMe campaign to raise $5,000 for Prust in honor of his fine. The creator of the account explained that they hope the money will go toward charity, which is a nice way to spin a campaign born out of a hockey play in which a player was speared in the groin.

As the description section of the fundraising page explains

Fans don’t seem too persuaded to join in. Although the page has been shared nearly 2,000 times, it has received just 14 donations totaling $195.
