OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) Dave ”Tiger” Williams was arrested by military police Friday, two days after the NHL penalty minutes king was charged with two counts of sexual assault and assault for incidents on a Canadian Forces aircraft.
The Canadian Forces Provost Marshal’s office said a woman reported during the December flight that Williams assaulted her. Williams was taking part in a morale trip to Latvia.
Williams was released from custody on a promise to appear in court. A hearing date has not yet been set. While the military laid the charges, the case will go to civilian court in Ottawa, where the flight originated.
