Sean Couturier has hat trick, Flyers beat Bruins 4-3
Couturier scored twice within 90 seconds in the second period and sealed the win with his 19th goal late in the third for his first career regular-season hat trick after doing it twice in the playoffs. He gave the Flyers hat tricks in consecutive games after James van Riemsdyk did it Monday night.
Oskar Lindblom also scored, with Claude Giroux getting his 500th assist to join Hall of Famer Bobby Clarke (852) as the only Flyers to hit that milestone. Peter Cehlarik scored twice in his first game of the season and David Pastrnak added a goal for Boston.
Darcy Kuemper made 26 saves for Arizona, extending his winning streak to four games.
Kevin Labanc had a goal and two assists, Evander Kane got his 17th goal and Logan Couture scored for the Sharks, who were playing the second of back-to-back games after beating Pittsburgh at home Tuesday.
The Sharks had not lost since falling 8-5 to Calgary on New Year’s Eve and had given up only 10 goals in their last six games.
CALGARY, Alberta (AP) — Jack Eichel scored at 1:10 of overtime to lift Buffalo past Calgary.
Seconds after putting a backhand off the post, the Buffalo captain beat goalie Dave Rittich with a low shot to the glove side.
Johnny Gaudreau had a goal and an assist for the Flames, and Matthew Tkachuk and Noah Hanifin also scored. Rittich made 19 saves.
Duchene returned after missing three games for the birth of his first son.
Jujhar Khaira and Connor McDavid scored in the first period for the Oilers, who won consecutive games for the first time since early December. Mikko Koskinen stopped 20 shots before denying all five Canucks attempts in the tiebreaker.
