Sabres gain permission to talk with Bylsma

With Mike Babcock out of the picture after choosing Toronto, one potential coaching candidate on Buffalo’s radar appears to be former Pittsburgh coach Dan Bylsma. According to CBS Sports, the Penguins have granted permission for the Sabres to speak to Bylsma.

Bylsma’s situation is a little unique, as he was fired from his role with Pittsburgh last offseason but is still under contract, which means some compensation may be required in order for the Sabres to obtain him.

Other names have been speculated in regards to the Sabres role, but it seems that Bylsma might be the favorite now that Babcock is no longer an option.
