Scoring goals with your feet planted on solid ground is overrated.

Or at least that’s what New York Rangers winger Rick Nash seems to think.

With New York locked in a 2-2 tie vs. the Dallas Stars with two minutes to play in the third period Friday, Nash crashed the net as a deflected shot from teammate Chris Kreider bounced off Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen’s upper chest.

The rolling puck popped out to the top of the crease, where a Nash was fighting off a check.

The sequence of events led to this amazing, game-winning goal:

The tally was Nash’s 10th of the season and his third in the past three games after recording only seven goals over his first 26 contests of 2013-14. Will this be the one that really gets the former winner of the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy going?
