Quick, Howard almost become latest USA teammates to fight

The first meeting of Team USA hockey at the Winter Olympics is going to be a very interesting get-together with the way things have gone in recent weeks.

First, it was future American teammates Dustin Brown and Ryan Kesler dropping the gloves a couple of weeks ago in a hotly contested Los Angeles Kings-Vancouver Canucks game.

On Saturday night in Detroit, there was almost another scrap between two of the American goaltenders for the upcoming Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick and Detroit Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard almost dropped the gloves Saturday night. The confrontation started when Howard was bowled over in his crease. After the ensuing whistle, the goaltender was in the middle of a scrum behind the net.
