NHL gets in holiday spirit with line of ugly Christmas sweaters

Christmas in July is a very real thing for National Hockey League fans with a unique taste in fashion.

The NHL is hoping to spread the holiday cheer this season, releasing a hideously awesome line of ugly Christmas sweaters.

The soon-to-be Christmas presents for that nephew that mentioned he was a casual hockey fan that one time are available for purchase on shop.nhl.com.

There are 16 sweaters in all, with eight teams getting not one, but two variations on the cheery prints. With candy canes, snowflakes and Christmas trees galore, the sweaters are truly a sight to behold.

And don’t worry Boston Bruins fans, those bright yellow sleeves will make you the hit of every office party.

The NFL already boasts its own collection of ugly sweaters, courtesy of Forever Collectibles, so it was only a matter of time before other leagues started getting in on the action.
