NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire: Letting You Know Which Players You Should Add/Drop Heading Into Week 19, Complete Injury Update, Players of the Week, and More!

Welcome back to our weekly NHL fantasy hockey waiver wire. There are some new players to add to your pool for all three formats, there is also some new injuries listed, as well as players on cold streaks. We've also included three new players of the week, so everything you need to know is right here.

Like always, we're here to help you gain the most out of your hockey pool. Most NHL fantasy pools consist of a weekly total before being reset. So, it's best to maximize your scoring during that week to either stay in the lead or try to climb the standings. The toughest part is always releasing players, but if you're in a pool that isn't very active, you can take those chances.

If you're in a pool that everyone is involved in daily, at least keep your star players even if they're going through a cold streak, so they're not picked up when you release them.

What else can be said about Connor McDavid that hasn't been said before? A whole lot of nothing. This kid's generational, and if you had the luxury of selecting him in your draft good for you! Also under no circumstance or how sweet a deal may seem, do not pull the trigger on it.

Top Defenseman of the Week: Oliver Ekman-Larsson (ARI) – (4GP, 0G, 5A, 5PTS, +2)

The Coyotes had a pretty solid week, Oliver Ekman-Larsson putting up five points in five games is pretty great as well. Due to Arizona's week season, their players have lost a lot in value but still hold a great potential upside, so if you can swing a deal for him, especially in a keeper league, do it cause as they years go by the young Yotes are only going to get better.

Top Goalie of the Week: Mike Smith (ARI) – (3GP, 3W, 1.95GAA, .946SV%, 1SO)

As with Ekman-Larsson, Mike Smith had himself a solid week as well, three wins in three games with a 1.95GAA and a .946SV% for that team is as uncommon as a solar eclipse, but it happened. And like Ekman-Larsson, the Coyotes players all have pretty low value right now, so if you need a depth goalie go ahead and pull the trigger, just make sure you're not giving away too much.
