New York Islanders Daily: Islanders Recall Ryan Pulock

A look around the web at the most recent New York Islanders news. Make Eyes On Isles your go to website for all things Islanders.

After four games the New York Islanders had to recall Ryan Pulock from Bridgeport on an emergency basis. It’s based on an injury in the Islanders defenseman group that could potentially impact Friday’s lineup.

Who the injured person is, we are unaware of at this time. More information is expected to come out later today.

Pulock was expected to make the team out of camp, that is until Garth Snow signed Dennis Seidenberg who won one of the six defenseman positions.

Nick Leddy and Travis Hamonic have really struggled so far this year. They have the lowest Corsi-for percentage of any defensive pair so far.

Maybe the re-addition of Ryan Pulock helps this group out a bit. He should certainly find some time on the power play with that nasty slapshot of his. The Isles power play is just 1 for 11 so they absolutely should try something new.

Virtual Reality helps the Islanders sell tickets (Wall Street Journal)

Technology is a wonderful thing isn’t it. They claim hockey is the best sport to watch live, and I think I agree with that one. In order to try to give fans the live feeling they are exploring VR, very cool stuff.

Andy Graziano says it’s time for concern, but not panic (SNY)

One of his biggest claims is not giving up on Andrew Ladd. I agree it’s way to early to declare him a bad signing. Give them time to mesh, patience Isles fans.
