Michal Neuvirth Outstanding As Philadelphia Flyers Fall Short.

The Philadelphia Flyers fall just short Saturday afternoon.

The Philadelphia Flyers were involved in a tight checking, low scoring affair against the Los Angeles Kings Saturday afternoon. Both teams would combing for 72 hits and 48 blocked shots. The Kings out shot the flyers 28-17. 10-4 in the 2nd period.  Both teams went 0/2 on the man advantage.

Michal Neuvirth was out standing once again frustrating the Kings shooter turning them away all game. The best save of the game came in the 2nd period robbing Dustin Brown on a breakaway chance. Neuvirth is finding his groove allowing just two goals in his last two outings. Posting a .964 SV% today.

Former Flyer Jeff Carter end the hockey game, scoring the only goal of the contest at 2:35 of overtime.

The Flyers were able to grab a valuable point giving them points in five of their last six games. The Flyers have won four of their last six.

Ivan Provorov once again was a minute muncher for the orange and black playing 24:08.

The Philadelphia Flyers return to action Monday Night at the Wells Fargo center vs. The St. Louis Blues.
