The Los Angeles Kings-San Jose Sharks Stanley Cup playoff game Monday night got a bit heated at the end of the third period when Kings goalie Jonathan Quick went after Sharks center Joe Thornton.
Quick had been playing poorly to start the series, allowing 16 goals through the first three games, but the Kings were able to right the ship and on Monday were on their way to completing a comeback from a 3-0 series deficit to force a Game 7. Things came to a head after a 1-1 third period tie became a 4-1 Kings lead, and, in an effort to get one in the net past Quick, Thornton laid a crosscheck on Kings defenseman Drew Doughty.
Bring on Game 7.
