The Los Angeles Kings have activated forward Trevor Lewis from injured reserve and reassigned David Van der Gulik to their AHL affiliate in Manchester.
The defending Stanley Cup champions announced the moves Friday before their game at Detroit.

Lewis has been out with an upper-body injury since playing in the Kings’ season opener Oct. 8, missing nine games. The two-time Stanley Cup champion is a dependable two-way contributor on Los Angeles’ depth lines.
Van der Gulik made his Kings debut in their loss at Pittsburgh on Thursday.
Injuries to Anze Kopitar and Marian Gaborik along with defenseman Slava Voynov’s indefinite suspension put the Kings in a salary cap-related crunch earlier this week, forcing them to use just 19 players in their overtime loss at Philadelphia.
