Finland pounds Austria 10-1

Jyri Niemi had two goals and two assists to help Finland pound

Austria 10-1 at the world junior hockey championship Wednesday.

Joonas Rask, Jani Lujunen, Mikael Granlund, Aleksi Laakso and

Toni Rajala also scored for Finland (2-1).

Austria fell to 0-3.

Finland’s next game is Thursday against undefeated Sweden (3-0)

while Austria will get a break before relegation round action

begins in Saskatoon on Saturday.
