Ducks recall Maroon to replace injured Blake
The Anaheim Ducks have recalled left wing Patrick Maroon from
their AHL affiliate in Syracuse.
The Ducks made the move before Sunday’s game against St. Louis
to replace veteran left wing Jason Blake, who will be out three
months with tendon damage in his left forearm.
Maroon scored 48 points in 57 games for Syracuse last season.
The 6-foot-4 power forward had five points in his first two games
with the Crunch this season.
The 23-year-old Maroon has never played in the NHL, but scored a
preseason goal for the Ducks last month.
Anaheim acquired Maroon from Philadelphia last November, several
weeks after the Flyers dismissed him from their organization.
