Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- Hitting The Road In Style

Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Montreal Canadiens last night, and now head off on their annual circus trip with a 11-3-2 record having not lost since October.

I’m still not sure what this version of the Chicago Blackhawks will be this season, but one thing is for sure in the early stages of the season is they know how to put W’s in the win column.

Here’s what you need to know about each Blackhawks game so far. The Hawks skate out to an early lead, and then they seem to lose focus late in the first period and into the second period. Then the Hawks hit a button and come storming back to tie, and on most nights take a late 2nd period or third period lead that Corey Crawford is able to make stand up.

On Friday night, the Chicago Blackhawks earned a point when Marian Hossa scored in the last seconds to secure a point, and last night Patrick Kane scored a highlight reel goal to give the Hawks a 3-2 lead that stood up for the final score.

The Kane goal if you missed it was one to watch again.

The Chicago Blackhawks also gave a very nice tribute to Andrew Shaw like they always do for a returning star when they make their first trip back to the United Center after leaving the franchise. This isn’t the one shown last night, but it’s a pretty good tribute to Shaw who provided a lot of memorable moments some of them featuring Shin Guards.

Now it’s off to the circus trip when traditionally the Chicago Blackhawks start stringing wins together so we will see if the is current hot streak can hit the road and be as successful as it’s been at the United Center.
