Flames snap Stars’ road winning streak

Jarome Iginla reached 20 goals for the 12th straight season and the Calgary Flames beat Dallas 7-4 on Friday night to snap the Stars’ franchise-record road winning streak at eight games.

Iginla has scored at least 20 goals in 13 of his 14 NHL seasons. He has the NHL’s longest current streak of 20-goal seasons and is in position to reach 30 for the 10th straight time.

Gordie Howe holds the NHL record for consecutive 20-goal seasons with 22.

Iginla’s unassisted goal gave the Flames a 6-4 lead at 4:20 of the third period. He also had an assist.

David Moss had two goals and an assist, Mikael Backlund, Brendan Morrison, Alex Tanguay and Olli Jokinen also scored, and Henrik Karlsson made 17 saves for Calgary, coming off a 6-0 home loss to Minnesota on Wednesday night.

Brenden Morrow, Brad Richards, Nicklas Grossman and James Neal scored for Dallas, a 4-2 winner in Edmonton on Thursday night. The Pacific Division-leading Stars dropped to 7-1-1 in January.
