Blue Jackets activate Tyutin, reassign Goloubef
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) The Columbus Blue Jackets activated defenseman Fedor Tyutin off injured reserve Friday and reassigned defenseman Cody Goloubef to their American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Mass.
The club also signed its third first-round pick from last year’s draft, forward Marko Dano.
Tyutin has missed the last nine games with an ankle injury which occurred while playing for Russia at the Olympics.
The top-two defenseman has four goals and 20 assists, 30 penalty minutes and a plus-6 rating in 53 games with Columbus this season. In 659 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets and New York Rangers, he has 50 goals, 181 assists and 428 penalty minutes.
Goloubef has played in five games with the Jackets this season and has two penalty minutes. He has six goals and 16 assists in 48 games with Springfield.
Dano was the 27th overall pick in last year’s draft.
The 19-year-old has six goals and six assists with 67 penalty minutes in 78 career games with HC Slovan Bratislava of the Kontinental Hockey League over the past two seasons.
The 5-foot-11, 183-pounder has represented Slovakia at numerous international competitions, including the past three World Junior Championship tournaments.
