– KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Blue Jays’ David Price takes the mound against hard-throwing youngster Yordano Ventura and the Royals as Toronto tries to even the AL Championship Series at a game apiece. Game starts 4:07 p.m.

– NEW YORK – Four wins from their first pennant in seven decades, the Chicago Cubs play the New York Mets in Game 1 of the NL Championship Series at Citi Field. Game starts 8:07 p.m.

– Ohio State’s biggest threat in the Big Ten could be determined in Ann Arbor, when No. 12 Michigan hosts No. 7 Michigan State. In the Southeastern Conference, two top matchups could provide some clarity in the SEC West.

– COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 1 Ohio State tries to extend its winning streak to 20 games against a Penn State team that has won five straight and took the Buckeyes to double overtime last year in Happy Valley. Game starts 8 p.m.

– ANN ARBOR, Mich. – No. 7 Michigan State is going for its seventh win in eight games against No. 12 Michigan and a first against Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh. Game starts 3:30 p.m.

– COLLEGE STATION, Texas – No. 9 Texas A&M looks to improve to 6-0 for the first time since 1994 and erase the memory of an ugly 59-0 loss to Alabama last season when the Aggies host the 10th-ranked Crimson Tide. Game starts 3:30 p.m.

– SOUTH BEND, Ind. – No. 14 Notre Dame, embarrassed in a 35-point loss to USC last season, seeks to keep its playoffs hopes alive in its rivalry game against the Trojans, who are coming off a tumultuous week after seeing their coach fired. Game starts 7:30 p.m.

– BATON ROUGE, La. – No. 6 LSU gets its toughest test yet when it hosts eighth-ranked Florida in a matchup of unbeaten teams which also happen to be historical Southeastern Conference rivals. Game starts 7 p.m.

– KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Matt Kenseth has won twice before at Kansas Speedway, but never has finding victory lane been so important. After a disastrous race last weekend at Charlotte, he may need to do exactly that on Sunday to have any hope of advancing in the Chase for the Sprint Cup.

– NEW YORK – Patrick Marleau and the San Jose Sharks look to keep their perfect start to the season going as they visit John Tavares and the New York Islanders. Game starts 7:30 p.m.

– INCHEON, South Korea – Lydia Ko and Sung Hyun Park rebounded to top the crowded leaderboard in the LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship.
