Acciari tallied a goal on two shots and three blocked shots in Monday's 5-4 win over the Wild.
Acciari struck with under six seconds left in the third period, and that goal stood as the game-winner and a back-and-forth affair. The 28-year-old could be in line for hockey's version of the Cy Young award -- he's got 18 goals and just three assists in 45 games this season. Acciari has added 87 hits, 73 shots on goal and 74 blocks as a defensive forward in the midst of a breakout offensive campaign.
Acciari scored two goals on six shots in Thursday's 5-2 win over Vancouver.
Acciari had only 23 goals in his first 209 NHL games, but he's remarkably potted 12 in 12 games since. His season line of 17 goals and three assists with a shooting percentage over double his career mark seems to be begging for regression, but it's hard to argue with taking a flier on Acciari right now considering he just seems to have the magic touch.
Acciari scored his 15th goal of the season in a 5-2 loss to the Coyotes on Tuesday.
Having already topped his career highs in both goals and points, Acciari is looking to score more this season than in his entire 180-game career. He had only 17 goals heading into this season, but has shown off his offensive skill playing with Brett Connolly and Vincent Trocheck on the second line.
