Foudy was reassigned to OHL London on Friday.
In two games with the Jackets, Foudy notched one assist, three shots and three hits while averaging 14:13 of ice time. With his junior team playing games Friday and Saturday, it's possible Columbus recalls the youngster ahead of Sunday's clash with the Devils. In the meantime. Jacob Lilja was brought up from AHL Cleveland in a corresponding roster move.
Foudy will be recalled from OHL London and will suit up versus the Sabres on Thursday, Blue Jackets team reporter Jeff Svoboda reports.
Foudy saw 10:23 of ice time in his previous appearance for the Blue Jackets and will now get another look with Cam Atkinson (ankle) facing an extended absence. Until Josh Anderson (shoulder) is cleared to play, Foudy will likely remain with Columbus to help bolster an already thin forward group.
The Blue Jackets demoted Foudy to OHL London on Monday.
Foudy made his NHL debut in Monday's contest against the Lightning, recording two shots on goal in 10:21 of ice time. He'll head back to OHL London, where he has 43 points in 32 games this season.
Foudy was recalled from OHL London on Sunday and will make his NHL debut Monday against Tampa Bay.
It's not often a player jumps directly from junior hockey to the NHL in-season like this, but there's plenty to be excited about with Foudy. Drafted 18th overall in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, the 20-year-old forward has 20 goals and 43 points in 32 OHL games this season. Columbus currently has six skaters on injured reserve -- including four forwards -- so Foudy will make his NHL debut Monday against the Lightning.
