McCabe notched an assist in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Predators.
McCabe went 17 appearances without a point entering Saturday's game. The defenseman has had a tough season offensively, with just eight points and 49 shots on goal through 46 contests. He's added 65 hits, 62 blocked shots and 33 PIM, but without much offense, fantasy owners won't need to take notice.
McCabe (upper body) is slated to play in Saturday's game against the Canucks, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports.
McCabe sat out Thursday's contest versus the Blues due to an upper-body issue but will make a quick turnaround to be ready for the team's two games this weekend. The blueliner is in the midst of a slump, failing to tally a point in his last 13 games played and is likely unusable in most season-long and daily lineups at this point.
McCabe will miss Thursday's clash with St. Louis due to an upper-body injury.
McCabe won't make the trip to St. Louis but is still considered day-to-day and is not expected to be out long term. The blueliner is bogged down in a 13-game pointless streak dating back to Dec. 5 versus Calgary. Henri Jokiharju should see an uptick in ice time with McCabe sidelined, while Lawrence Pilut was called up from the minors.
McCabe is in the midst of a 13-game point drought.
Despite playing on the top defensive pairing for much of the year, McCabe's offense hasn't increased. He has just seven points in 41 contests. He isn't seeing time on the power play, as he's being used in a shutdown role. He's registered 60 hits and 61 blocks, but McCabe is likely best left on the waiver wire until he starts producing offensively.
