Kings defenseman Slava Voynov takes a shot against the Blues during the first period of Los Angeles' 3-1 win in Game 1 of their Western Conference semifinal series against the Blues in St. Louis. Voynov scored the Kings' first goal of the game late in the first, his first career playoff tally.

The Kings' Dwight King is checked into the boards by the Blues' Kevin Shattenkirk. As anticipated, Game 1 was quite physical, as the rest of the series is expected to be.

Blues goalie Brian Elliott makes a save on a shot by Kings right wing Dustin Brown. Brown scored three goals in the Kings' first-round win over the top-seeded Vancouver Canucks.
The Rangers' Artem Anisimov puts his team ahead 1-0 with a goal in the second period against Capitals goalie Braden Holtby. The Rangers went on to win 3-1.
