Price made 30 saves Saturday in a 3-0 win over Ottawa.
Price has struggled of late -- he's 2-4-1 in his last six games. The two wins have come in his last two outings. Price needs to be at the top of his game for the Habs to have any shot at the postseason, so this was a good start.
Price will patrol the crease during Saturday's road game versus the Senators, Arpon Basu of The Athletic reports.
Price had a strong showing in his last start, stopping 29 of 32 shots en route to an impressive 4-3 road victory over the Capitals on Thursday. He'll attempt to pick up his 26th win of the season in a road matchup with an Ottawa team that's gone 15-12-6 at home this year.
Price allowed three goals on 32 shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime victory over the Capitals.
Price was solid all night, stopping 29 of 31 shots before allowing a game-tying goal with just 20 seconds remaining in regulation. Fortunately, he didn't need to do anything in the overtime period before his team scored a quick goal to seal things up. It was Price's first win since Feb. 8 and his first road victory since Jan. 30. The 32-year-old netminder owns a 2.76 GAA and .910 save percentage.
Price will patrol the crease during Thursday's road clash with the Capitals, Eric Engels of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Price has been awful recently, suffering five straight losses while posting a sub-par 3.42 GAA and .886 save percentage. The 32-year-old netminder will attempt to snap his lengthy losing streak in a road matchup with a Washington club that's averaging 3.41 goals per game at home this campaign, eighth in the NHL.
Price allowed four goals on 25 shots in a 4-3 loss to Detroit on Tuesday.
Montreal, backstopped by Price, appeared on its way to victory before the Red Wings scored three unanswered goals in the third period to hand Price a fifth straight loss. Price is on pace for his first 30-loss campaign. Still technically alive in the East's playoff race, Montreal is likely to go with Price for most every game, but once eliminated, it's likely that the young netminders behind him will see more starts at the top level.
