Jarnkrok scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Golden Knights.
After posting four assists over the first five games of the year, Jarnkrok scored one of his own, which would count as the game-winner. The winger is enjoying top-line deployment for now -- if he can maintain that position, he should easily top his previous career high of 35 points, set in 68 games in 2017-18.
Jarnkrok collected two assists and was plus-2 in a 6-5 win over the Capitals on Thursday.
In a game that saw five lead changes, Jarnkrok had a hand in the final one, setting up Mattias Ekholm's game-winning goal with 4:40 left in the third period. He also picked up an assist in the second period for his first multi-point effort of the year. Jarnkrok has scored between 10-16 goals and 26-35 points in each of the last four years for the Predators.
Jarnkrok posted his first assist of the season in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Red Wings, skating 11:48 on the third line with Kyle Turris and Rocco Grimaldi.
Jarnkrok saw less than 12 minutes of action for the second consecutive game, which is not a good sign considering he's been used to seeing ice time in the 15 to 16 minute range over the past three seasons. While it's nice to see him crack the scoreboard early, a diminished offensive role means he will have trouble getting back to the 30-point plateau. Buyer beware.
