NBA star Kevin Durant knows a thing or two about playing with confidence, and when he watched Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins play, he is seeing an evolution in the veteran's confidence level on the field.
“Kirk is gaining confidence, man,” Durant told ESPN’s Vaughn McClure in Atlanta on Monday, per John Keim. “I’m a professional player, so when opportunity and confidence meet, that brings out a great player.”
Cousins has thrown for 10 touchdowns and just two interceptions over his past five games. The Redskins have not lost a single game this season in which he has avoided throwing an interception.

Durant remains a big time Redskins fan, regardless of their record, but winning is certainly making things easier for him.
“We’re winning the division and we just have to keep it up,” Durant told McClure. “It’s a down year for our division, but the Giants, Eagles, and Cowboys could all pick it up the last few weeks of the season. We have to stick to this momentum and we’ll be fine.
