Redskins' Cousins gives game ball to cancer-stricken father

Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins threw for a career-high four touchdown passes in the team's 47-14 Week 10 win over the New Orleans Saints, but his biggest moment Sunday came after the game. Cousins walked to the sideline and delivered the game ball to his cancer-stricken father, who was in attendance for the win.

“[It] put a smile on his face. And it was special for our family,” Cousins later told reporters after the game, per The Huffington Post.

Kirk's father, Don, had a short and sweet response to his son's amazing gesture.

“Thank you, thanks for a great day,” Don reportedly told Kirk upon receiving the game ball.

The moment was made all the more special when you consider that this was Don's first game he was able to attend this year due to his cancer treatment.
