Report: Redskins WR DeSean Jackson unlikely to play in Week 7

Published Oct. 21, 2015 12:31 p.m. ET

Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson began practicing last week after injuring his hamstring in Week 1, but he suffered a setback later in the week and did not play in Week 6. According to ESPN's Britt McHenry, the setback is expected to also keep Jackson out of action in Week 7.

With Jackson out, the Redskins have used Pierre Garcon and Ryan Grant as their outside wide receivers with Jamison Crowder operating out of the slot. The team's deep passing game has been nonexistent without Jackson's presence and ability to stretch the field.
