RICHMOND, Va. -- Jason Hatcher has passed his physical and is practicing with the Washington Redskins at training camp.

The Redskins announced that Hatcher has been removed from the physically unable to perform list and placed on the active roster. He was on the field Saturday afternoon for practice.

Hatcher had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in June as the Redskins were wrapping up their offseason practices.

Hatcher signed a four-year, $27.5 million contract in March as a free agent from the Dallas Cowboys.
