Vikings sign receiver Lestar Jean from Texans

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) The Minnesota Vikings have signed former Texans receiver Lestar Jean.

The team announced the signing Tuesday.

Jean is entering his fourth season. He joins a receiving corps that appears pretty well stocked with Greg Jennings, Cordarrelle Patterson, Jerome Simpson and Jarius Wright.

The 6-foot-3 receiver spent his rookie season in 2011 on injured reserve. He caught 10 passes for 186 yards and a touchdown in 27 games for the Texans over the last two seasons.

Jean played at Florida Atlantic and was not drafted.
