Brady sketch artist: I'm getting dozens of offers to sell drawing

Shortly after drawing Tom Brady during last week’s Deflategate hearing in a New York courtroom, sketch artist Jane Rosenberg took plenty of ridicule, her interpretation of Brady being compared to the likes of the Crypt Keeper, Sloth from “The Goonies” and Lurch from “The Addams Family.”

Now, she may get the last laugh, and laugh all the way to the bank.

According to multiple reports, the artist whose drawing went viral, spawned cyberbullying and ultimately led to her apologizing to Brady, has received emails from more than two dozen parties interested in buying the sketch.

"I haven’t decided if I am going to sell the original," Rosenberg told the Boston Globe in a telephone interview Tuesday. "I'm sitting on it, and I am trying to figure it out. I won’t sell it for a low amount right away. If someone offered a huge sum of money, I might think, 'Well, take the money and run.'"

Rosenberg said she owns the drawing, and that she sold her sketches before. Due to the popularity of this particular drawing, she said she has even had people ask her to make replicas, has been asked to do commissioned work, and was contacted by a Boston museum asking if she would loan it for display for one month.

"I don’t have a clue what it’s truly worth," she told the New York Daily News. "This isn't a normal sketch I'm selling to some assistant U.S. attorney. It might be a different arena entirely — sports memorabilia."
