Tom Brady: 'I've calmed down' about officials since Patriots-Broncos game

FOXBORO, Mass. — Tom Brady is over being pissed off.

The New England Patriots suffered a tough loss to the Denver Broncos in overtime Sunday night, and the quarterback was understandably pretty ticked on WEEI’s “Dennis and Callahan” the next morning. Namely, Brady was annoyed that the game came down to a couple questionable calls by officials after the Patriots missed out on some big opportunities.

But all that is water under the bridge going into Week 13’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

“We’re just going to try to do our job.” Brady said Wednesday. “We’ll let them do the officiating. Coach (Bill Belichick) talks to those guys all the time, and he tries to fill us in on the conversations he has so that we know when we’re out there.”

Brady added that he was caught at a bad time during his radio appearance.

“That was only like a three-hour difference between after the game and when I talked on the radio the next morning, so it was probably the same level of emotion that I was going through after the game,” Brady said. “I’ve calmed down a little bit, and we’ve moved on from that game because we’re facing a great opponent this week in the Eagles, and we’re going to have to be at our best.”

It looks as though it’s on to Philadelphia for Brady.
