The Latest: Wentz throws for 183 yds, TD in first half

The Latest on the third week of the NFL season (all times Eastern):

5:50 p.m.

Rookie Carson Wentz has thrown for 183 yards and a touchdown, and the Philadelphia Eagles lead the Pittsburgh Steelers 13-3 at halftime in a matchup of NFL unbeatens Sunday.

Wentz led the Eagles on a 12-play, 82-yard touchdown drive in the second quarter, finishing it with a 12-yard pass to Jordan Matthews. Wentz still hasn't committed a turnover this season.

In Seattle, Christine Michael has run for 82 yards and two touchdowns and the Seahawks lead the San Francisco 49ers 24-3.

Scores elsewhere: Tampa Bay 20, Los Angeles 17; Kansas City 17, New York Jets 3; Indianapolis 13, San Diego 6 late in the first half.

5:45 p.m.

Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis missed the final series of the first half against the Kansas City Chiefs as he appeared to be going through the NFL's concussion protocol on the bench.

Revis has had a rough start to the season, getting burned on a few occasions. But the veteran star had been playing well for Kansas City before leaving late in the half.

It was not immediately clear whether he would return after halftime.

His replacement, rookie cornerback Juston Burris, made a nice play to break up a pass just before the break. The Jets ultimately held and went to halftime trailing 17-3.

5:40 p.m.

Oakland coach Jack Del Rio says he wishes his Raiders who protested by raising their fists during the national anthem had alerted him to their intentions before kickoff Sunday.

Linebackers Bruce Irvin and Malcolm Smith each raised their fists. Smith said after a 17-10 win over the Tennessee Titans that he wishes he had given Del Rio a warning.

''But at the same time it just kind of came over me,'' Smith said. ''He's supportive.''

Irvin and Smith raised their right fists during the anthem, while five Titans raised theirs once the anthem ended. Smith said they had thought about protesting, knowing they might receive a lot of backlash for taking a stance on the issues raised by Colin Kaepernick.

Del Rio says he respects everyone's rights to express themselves. He also respects the flag. Del Rio also says he would like to see the Raiders do things united together.

Jimmy Graham is back.

The athletic tight end who suffered a torn patellar tendon in his right knee last November had six catches for 100 yards and a touchdown in the first half on Sunday for Seattle.

Graham caught an 18-yard touchdown from Russell Wilson in the second quarter - his first TD since Sept. 27, 2015 vs. Chicago - and later wrestled a 40-yard jump ball away from safety Eric Reid that set up a field goal. Graham also had an 18-yard catch to convert third-and-15 in the first quarter. It was his second 100-yard receiving game since joining Seattle via trade before last season.

Seattle leads 24-3 at halftime.

Linebacker Manti Te'o will not return to the San Diego Chargers' game against Indianapolis after injuring his Achilles tendon in the first quarter of Sunday's game.

Te'o, who came into game with 19 tackles to lead the Chargers, was hurt when he planted his left leg and collapsed. He needed assistance to get off the field.

5 p.m.

Breakout day, Trevor Siemian. Too bad he's largely unused in fantasy leagues beyond two quarterback leagues where he's still pretty much on the bench.

The Denver passer was the top fantasy QB after the early games Sunday, even eclipsing Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers. Siemian threw for four touchdowns and 312 yards, generating 28 fantasy points in standard leagues. Rodgers had 26 fantasy points.

Detroit receiver Marvin Jones broke out with 32 points in standard leagues on 205 yards and two touchdowns.

Terrelle Pryor - owned in well less than one-third of Yahoo and ESPN leagues - had perhaps the most well-rounded day since fantasy scoring moved to computers from manual box score calculations.

The Browns wideout was used as a quarterback throughout the game during read-option plays, leading to five pass attempts, four carries and seven catches. His 135 yards receiving would have been respectable on their own, but he added 21 yards and a TD rushing and 35 passing yards. He totaled 22 fantasy points.

Buffalo's LeSean McCoy led all running backs with 23 fantasy points after the early games.

4:35 p.m.

San Francisco 49ers players Colin Kaepernick, Eric Reid and Eli Harold kneeled during the national anthem before the game Sunday in Seattle.

The Seahawks stood together with their arms locked during the anthem, just as they did in their first two games this season.

Seattle held a moment of silence before the anthem for the victims of a mass shooting on Friday night about 90 minutes north of Seattle, where five people died.

At the Steelers-Eagles game in Philadelphia, Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins and cornerback Ron Brooks were the only players from either team to raise their fists during the national anthem. Last week, they were joined by Marcus Smith and Steven Means.

Three players on the Chargers sideline in Indianapolis had their hands raised during the anthem, including offensive lineman Joe Barksdale and Chris Hairston. Colts cornerback Antonio Cromartie, a former Charger, took a knee and also raised his fist.

In Tampa Bay, a moment of silence was held before the Rams-Buccaneers game for ace Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez, who was killed in a boating accident early Sunday.

4 p.m.

While the meeting of the unbeaten Steelers and Eagles in Philadelphia is the main event among the 4 p.m. Eastern games, there are other intriguing matchups.

The New York Jets go on the road to face the Kansas City Chiefs. Arrowhead Stadium is a tough venue, making this a measuring-stick game for the Jets.

On the West Coast, the Seattle Seahawks are missing two of their top three running backs, but they should be able to rely on their defense against the San Francisco 49ers. Seattle has given up just 19 points through two games.

Tampa Bay quarterback Jameis Winston will go against the Los Angeles Rams looking to bounce back from a bad outing last week against Arizona.

The San Diego Chargers play at winless Indianapolis in the other late-afternoon game.

Chicago visits Dallas on Sunday night.

3:50 p.m.

New York Giants center Weston Richburg was ejected from Sunday's game against Washington in the fourth quarter after drawing two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.

Under a new NFL rule, a player can be thrown out of a game for committing two such fouls. Richburg got one in the second quarter, then drew another early in the fourth period when he blocked Redskins cornerback Josh Norman and then taunted him on a pass play.

Richburg was replaced by Brett Jones.

3:40 p.m.

Washington starting running back Matt Jones was evaluated for a concussion after taking a tough hit that appeared to jolt his neck forward, but was cleared and allowed to return to play.

Jones was hit Sunday by Giants safety Nat Berhe after a 5-yard run. The hit caused Jones to fumble, though he recovered the ball at the Giants 45. Jones was immediately removed from the game to go through the league's concussion protocol.

The Redskins lost four starters to injury during the game.

Cornerback Bashaud Breeland hurt his right ankle during the first quarter against the New York Giants and did not return. He was injured covering rookie Sterling Shepard on a 12-yard pass down to the Redskins 1.

Trainers worked on his lower right leg, and he couldn't put weight on the leg as he was helped off the field.

Defensive back DeAngelo Hall sprained his right knee, center Kory Lichtensteiger went out with a left calf injury and left guard Shawn Lauvao was knocked out of the game with a left ankle injury.

3:10 p.m.

Oakland Raiders right tackle Menelik Watson will not return for the second half against the Tennessee Titans after hurting his right leg.

Watson was hurt late in the second quarter on a 30-yard run by DeAndre Washington. Trainers checked him out on the field, and Watson was able to walk to the sideline. The Raiders announced early in the third quarter that Watson would not return.

Oakland led 17-3 at halftime.

The Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers lost players to injury.

Detroit safety Tavon Wilson injured his neck and left the game in Green Bay in the first quarter.

It's another blow for an injury-depleted Lions defense that is already without lineman Ezekiel Ansah and linebacker DeAndre Levy. Detroit allowed four touchdown passes in the first half to Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Packers tight end Jared Cook went out early in the second quarter with a right ankle injury. Fullback Aaron Ripkowski went out in the second quarter with a back injury. He walked back to the locker room.

Aaron Rodgers has thrown four touchdown passes and the Green Bay Packers lead the injury-riddled Detroit Lions 31-10 at halftime.

It's a nice bounceback for Rodgers, who is 12 of 18 for 174 yards after struggling in last week's loss at Minnesota.

Rodgers' TD passes were 14 yards to Davante Adams, 8 and 17 yards to Jordy Nelson and 2 yards to Richard Rodgers.

The winless Buffalo Bills, playing without injured star receiver Sammy Watkins, are leading the Arizona Cardinals 17-7 at the half. Elsewhere at half: New York Giants 21, Washington 16; Oakland 17, Tennessee 3; Cleveland 13, Miami 10; Baltimore 13, Jacksonville 7; Carolina 10, Minnesota 8; Denver 16, Cincinnati 14.

2:20 p.m.

Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski now is the NFL's all-time leader in field goals made from 50 yards and out.

Janikowski kicked a 52-yard field goal with 8:13 left in the second quarter Sunday, giving the Raiders a 10-3 lead over the Tennessee Titans. That was the 53rd field goal of 50 yards or longer for the 17-year veteran, breaking a tie with Jason Hanson who had 52 such field goals in 21 NFL seasons.

His career percentage from 50 yards and out coming into this game was 55.9 percent (52 of 93). He was 4 of 5 from that distance last season.

Arizona Cardinals punter Drew Butler is questionable to return to the game against the Buffalo Bills after he sustained an ankle injury in the first quarter.

Butler's last kick before he left the game was a 40-yard punt to end the first quarter. Kicker Chandler Catanzaro took over punting duties for Butler and had a 47-yard punt from his own end zone on his first kick early in the second quarter.

Butler had four punts in the first quarter and averaged 36.5 yards per punt.

2:10 p.m.

Buffalo's Tyrod Taylor has set another franchise rushing record for quarterbacks.

His 49-yard run up the left side against Arizona on Sunday broke the previous team record of 41 set by Joe Ferguson against Cleveland on Oct. 23, 1977.

Taylor's run more than doubled the 36 yards rushing he had in Buffalo's first two games.

Last year, Taylor set the team record for quarterbacks with 568 yards rushing.

Anthony Lynn is making his debut as the Bills offensive coordinator after Greg Roman was fired on Sept. 16.
