Terrell Owens shares photo on Instagram asking for Patriots to sign him
The New England Patriots’ wide receiver corps has been ravaged by injuries this season, and Terrell Owens obviously thinks he could lend a hand or two.
The 41-year-old wide receiver hasn’t played an NFL game in five years, but that didn’t stop Owens from reposting a photo on Instagram from a Patriots fan account that called for New England to sign him.
Just last week, Owens raised the possibility of playing for the Patriots, telling the Boston Globe: "Am I capable of playing? Absolutely."
T.O. told Sports Illustrated in January that he hasn’t retired and that he’s been training with NFL players in an attempt at a comeback. Owens, who spent most of his 15-year career with the San Francisco 49ers, played his last NFL game on Dec. 19, 2010, for the Cincinnati Bengals.
