Titans' team president reiterates: 'The team is not for sale'

Tennessee Titans team president Steve Underwood once again made clear Monday that despite speculation, the franchise is not for sale.

At the introductory press conference for new general manager Jon Robinson and head coach Mike Mularkey, Underwood said he isn't aware of any talk that fellow owners are unhappy with the Titans' ownership group and rejected the idea that the NFL might be lining up potential buyers for the franchise.

Via the Tennessean:

“It’s really hard to do that when it’s not for sale. You can have all the buyers in the world, but if there’s not a seller, you can’t sell anything. The team is not for sale. It’s never been for sale," Underwood said. “When you find a source listed about whether or not the team is for sale, then feel free to ask those questions. I know all the (meaningful) sources. They’re the people that own the team. I don’t know how many times we have to deny that it’s for sale."

The Titans current ownership group consists of controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk, Kenneth Adams, Barclay Cunningham Adams and Susie Adams Smith.
