Mike Evans takes blame for the Week 3 loss to Texans

Whenever an NFL team loses a game, there's always fans and analysts pointing fingers, as well as certain players taking the blame for the outcome. The most recent player to take blame for a loss, was Mike Evans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to JoeBucsFan.com.

“I put this on me. There was a lot of plays I should have made on third downs that I didn’t come up with,” Evans told JoeBucsFan.com. “Offense played great. You know, it’s up to me to make a couple of plays and then could have put us over the hump.

“There was a couple of tough catches that I’m capable of making. You know, If I want to be the best, I gotta make those plays. I didn’t make most of them. I didn’t make most of them. If I would have made them, then we would have had a better chance to win.”

It's obviously interesting to hear this said by Evans. Yes, he did drop a few catchable passes, but Evans still had a big day, catching seven balls for 101 yards. Call it getting rid of the rust if you need to, but Evans will still likely be Jameis Winston's go-to option in the passing game. Don't expect the inconsistency from the second-year receiver to continue moving forward in 2015.
