T.Y. Hilton says Colts 'laid down' in critical loss to Texans

This was a critical Sunday in the AFC South, and the Indianapolis Colts came away the big losers. In a three-way tie for the division lead entering the day with the Texans and Titans, Indianapolis suffered a crucial loss to Houston while Tennessee also won, leaving the Colts on the outside looking in at this point.

Indy star wideout T.Y. Hilton didn’t mince words after the game, claiming that players “laid down” in a loss that dropped the Colts to second in the division.

“We laid down,” Hilton told reporters. “It’s simple. Guys didn’t make plays that were supposed to make plays.”

Hilton wasn’t one of those guys, finishing with a game-high nine catches for 115 yards and a touchdown. But his Pro Bowl quarterback certainly struggled Sunday, as Andrew Luck completed just 24 of 45 attempts for 276 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Luck also lost a fumble in the loss.
