The Steelers are looking for an ego boost when they meet the hapless Cleveland Browns and try to get out of town with a victory.

While the team gets the game plan together and gets warmed up we’ll be looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Sunday, Nov. 20th.

Back to basics

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reminds us that the last time Pittsburgh was on the winning end of things was Oct. 9th against the Jets. Yikes.

Hopefully a week of talking about accountability and discipline along with a renewed focus of punctuality to meetings and tackling fundamentals in practice pays off against Cleveland.

Tomlin took the brunt of the heat this week from the criticism that the team isn’t taking things seriously enough to play up to their potential. It’s certainly debatable the degree to which blame should be placed on the head coach to this point but as far as I’m concerned it is on the players from her on out.

How they respond against Cleveland will determine how the rest of the season plays out.

    Hall of Fame smile

He was number 86 on the roster but certainly number one in your hearts. The Pro Football Hall of Fame released the names of the 26 semifinalists for the Class of 2017. Everyone’s favorite hard-hitting wide receiver Hines Ward makes it through in his first year of eligibility.

The next step would be narrowing it down to 15 finalists before the selection committee reveals the names of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2017 on the eve of Super Bowl LI. How far do you think Ward will make it?

    Welcome back, Bud

Just when we needed a pass rush. The team announced on Saturday that they have officially ended the season of Cameron Heyward by placing him on IR. The good news is that they activated linebacker Bud Dupree.

Also ending their season unfortunately is receiver Markus Wheaton. Wheaton only recorded four catches this season for 51 yards and a touchdown before going out with a shoulder injury.

Taking his spot on the roster is running back Daryl Richardson. He’s activated from the practice squad. Karlos Williams, who was picked up to the practice squad last month, still hasn’t been activated.
