Rams' Fisher cites commitment to team owner in dismissing USC rumors

St. Louis Rams coach Jeff Fisher said he has no interest in the vacant opening at the University of Southern California.

Fisher is among a number of high-profile coaches who have been mentioned as candidates for the USC job, but he shot down that idea while citing loyalty to Rams owner Stan Kroenke.

“Yeah, I’ve heard things. But no," Fisher said addressing the reports, per the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "I appreciate what anybody else is saying out there. But I made a commitment to Stan here, and I’m going to finish, keep that commitment."

Fisher, who played at USC, is in the fourth season of a five-year, $35 million contract. The Rams are 22-30-1 during his tenure and haven't won more than seven games in a season.
