Spikes active for 49ers against Jaguars
Linebacker Takeo Spikes is active for the San Francisco 49ers' game with the Jacksonville Jaguars after recovering from a hamstring injury. Spikes missed last week's 30-24 loss at Green Bay and was replaced by Matt Wilhelm. Spikes strained his left hamstring just before halftime of a win over the Chicago Bears on Nov. 12 and hadn't played since. The 49ers had just four active receivers Sunday: Michael Crabtree, Brandon Jones, Josh Morgan and Jason Hill. Cornerback Tyron Brackenridge moved into the Jaguars' starting lineup in place of inactive former Pro Bowler Rashean Mathis, who missed his second straight game with a groin injury. San Francisco receiver Isaac Bruce was inactive for the second time this season. He is nursing an ankle injury.
