The kicking saga continues for the Miami Dolphins.

In light of injuries to Caleb Sturgis and John Potter, the Dolphins are set to sign free-agent kicker Jake Rogers, a source told FOX Sports.

Rogers has spent time with six NFL teams (Cleveland, Washington, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Dallas and the New York Giants) as both a kicker and punter since 2011 but hasn't appeared in a regular-season game. The University of Cincinnati's all-time leading scorer, Rogers was with the Browns and Redskins earlier this year before being released.

Rogers may have to handle the kicking duties Thursday in Miami's preseason finale against St. Louis. Sturgis, who was Miami's kicker in 2013, remains sidelined by a groin ailment while Potter left Saturday night's preseason win over Dallas with a hip injury.
