Hillman, who grew up in Compton, Calif., and played collegiately at San Diego State, speaks admiringly of Snoop’s investment in football for inner-city youth.
"He could’ve done plenty of things with his money, but he was just giving back and being supportive of the kids and just trying to get them out the neighborhood," Hillman said just days before Super Bowl 50 (via Denver7). "… He had a lot to do with the players, and he was a mentor to a lot of players I know. You can definitely tell he loves the kids."
When Hillman was a youngster, Snoop gave him simple advice that has stayed with him.
"Just go out there and play," Hillman said. "It stuck with me since I was a kid."
