Pete Carroll has great response to Marshawn Lynch's mom

The complaints Marshawn Lynch’s mom had about Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell could have resulted in a divisive issue among the Seahawks, but Pete Carroll won’t let that happen.

When speaking with the media on Wednesday, the Seahawks head coach was asked about the Facebook post Lynch’s mother wrote that called for Bevell’s job. His answer was perfect.

He also said Bevell is “doing a terrific job,” which is more of a questionable comment, but fair enough.

Whether the Facebook post was considered problematic or not, Carroll won’t let it become an issue for the media. And his perspective is perfect, too. He’s exactly right: That is a mom protecting her son, and it is somewhat typical and expected.

His ease in dealing with people and deft ability to handle the media are big reasons why he is so successful. This was typical Carroll at work.
