The Seattle Seahawks lost one of their top pass rushers when linebacker Bruce Irvin had to exit Sunday night's loss to the Arizona Cardinals due to a knee injury.
Irvin suffered a sprained medial collateral ligament early in the fourth quarter and was unable to return. The Cardinals put together consecutive touchdown drives of 83 and 80 yards after Irvin departed the contest.
In his fourth season with the Seahawks, Irvin has registered 4 1/2 sacks this season and 21 for his career. No timetable was given for how long he will be out.

Carroll said wide receiver Paul Richardson may have suffered a pulled hamstring in his season debut. Richardson has been sidelined since suffering a torn ACL in a postseason win over Carolina in January.
The speedy Richardson gave the Seahawks a brief glimpse of the big-play element he can provide by reeling in a 40-yard reception to set up Seattle's only touchdown of the first half.
