Seahawks’ Russell Wilson believed to have sprained MCL

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is believed to have sprained his MCL in the Seahawks’ 37–18 win over the 49ers on Sunday, The MMQB’s Albert Breer reports.

Wilson went down awkwardly after he was tackled in the second half of the game, appearing to twist his knee. Though he left the game and returned one play later, he was sidelined for a considerable amount of the fourth quarter in favor of backup Trevone Boykin.

After the game, coach Pete Carroll said that Wilson had sprained his knee “a little bit.”

The veteran signalcaller finished 15 of 23 for 243 yards and a touchdown.
