San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis missed practice for a second straight day, putting his status in question for Sunday’s matchup against the Green Bay Packers.

Davis hurt his knee in the second half of last weekend’s loss to the Arizona Cardinals and was in and out of the lineup, finishing without a catch for the first time in three games.

Linebacker NaVorro Bowman was back at practice Thursday after sitting out the previous day.

Although he had only 26 receptions and a career-low two touchdowns in 2014, Davis is tied for second on the 49ers with eight catches and typically fares well against the Packers.

In seven career games against Green Bay, including the postseason, Davis has reeled in seven touchdown catches. He had six receptions for 96 yards and a pair of scores in the last regular-season matchup between the teams in the 2013 season opener.
